The Museum offers 75-minute, docent-led tours of this mansion every day of the week.

At the end of every year, the Mission In hosts a Festival of Light. Starting with the “Switch-On” ceremony , the whole Mission is illuminated with holiday lights. The show is closing with a great fireworks show.  

From the rooftop, tourists can catch a glimpse of another attraction of Riverside. The impressive Mount Rubidoux has great trails that lead to its top with a splendid view every step of the way. 

Mount Rubidoux Park

Mount Rubidoux Park is considered to be one of the most popular hikes for tourists and residents as well. The whole route is lined with wildflowers  and historical markers that represent the city’s past. At the top a massive cross overlooks the city and is one of the traditional outdoor Easter sunsets services in the country. California State Citrus Historic Park

This 250-acre state park is dedicated to the citrus legacy of California. It is also known for the second Gold Rush in CA. You can stop at this park and learn how citrus became king in Southern California. On an organized tour, you can taste oranges, lemons, limes and grapefruit that grows on the huge property. 

There is also a huge stand shaped like an Orange located at the entrance of the park. Look for the signs of the past in the Marketplace Districts packing houses and orange trees on the sides of the streets. 

Fox Performing Arts Center

When the night falls, you can check who is performing at the elegant Fox Performing Arts Center, a Spanish Revival theater with a history. It is known for the first showing of  Gone with the Wind in 1929. 

It is one of the most celebrated venues in Riverside. It is the main stage for comedy, music and festivals in the whole city.  You can catch a bite at The Salted Pig before the show and grab a few eclectic starters or go after the show to take advantage of the restaurant’s cocktails and late night specials, served up to 1 a.m. 

It was renovated in 2007 and it is now one of the most modern centerpieces of entertainment in the area that a lot of people enjoy. 

UC Riverside Botanic Gardens 

Riverside has a great college community that brings a youthful vibe to the city. You can visit the campus to walk through the UCR Botanic Gardens, which consists of 39 acres of woodlands, gardens and horticultural wonders.
These botanic gardens welcome visitors everyday into a lush environment. There are many trails to explore with well-placed benches and information boards every step of the way.

Van Buren Drive-In Theatre

As one of the last remaining drive-in theatres in the US, it tries to keep up with every other big cinema by showcasing the latest blockbuster movies. You can catch a movie from Monday to Thursday and for a great price!

Sycamore Canyon Wilderness Park

For all of you who like wilderness and activities like hiking, mountain biking and exploring, Sycamore Canyon Wilderness Park is the best place for you.
